How is an evaporative cooler different from a split air conditioner?

There is no compressor or refrigerant. Air passes through a water-soaked medium and is cooled by evaporation, drawing about 300 W instead of the 1 kW-plus of a small compressor unit. Cooling depth is milder, and the effect depends on dry air and some ventilation.

What water tank does it have, and how often is a refill needed?

A tank above 10 litres. Refill frequency follows fan speed and ambient humidity, so in dry conditions plan on refilling through the working day rather than working to a fixed number of hours.

Does it need ventilation to work properly?

Yes in practice. Evaporative cooling adds moisture to the air, so a room with no air exchange becomes humid and the cooling effect falls away. Position it near an opening or in a space with cross-ventilation rather than in a sealed room.

What are the power and noise figures?

300 W at 220 V with four fan speeds, remote plus touch control and a timer above 8 hours. Noise is stated at 51-70 dB, which is normal for a commercial or large-room unit, so place it away from seating in hospitality use.

Are ice packs part of the supply?
